We offer fertilization services for properties in and around Arlington, Falls Church, & Annandale, VA.
Give your lawn year-round, regular nutrient replenishment.
All grass needs a certain amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to survive. Each nutrient offers its own benefits that keep your lawn as healthy as it can be. Regular fertilization services ensure that your grass is always receiving the correct amount of each nutrient at all times. Not enough nutrients will leave your lawn weak and susceptible to harmful diseases, weeds, and insects, while too many can actually kill your grass.
I've had nothing but positive experiences with Rimble since first signing on for services. They come on time and do a great job. They're also very responsive and professional. Recommend!

Stop the guesswork and enroll in our fertilization program. We take care of your lawn from early spring all the way until late fall, keeping a professional eye on your lawn's nutrient levels. Our company services the Arlington, VA area, including Falls Church and Annandale.
Why Your Grass Needs Nitrogen, Phosphorus & Potassium to Survive
We've all heard of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium but what do they actually do for your grass?
- Nitrogen: Nitrogen is the nutrient that helps your lawn grow fuller, thicker, and greener. Who doesn't love the sound of that? All lawns rely heavily on good nitrogen levels so that they can grow thicker and denser blades. Nitrogen also encourages the production of chlorophyll, which is what your grass uses to produce energy and feed itself. This also gives your grass that great green color.
- Phosphorus: Your grass uses phosphorus to develop strong and sturdy roots. Phosphorus is relied on heavily for early development, meaning there are always high levels of it in starter fertilizers. Without the correct amount of phosphorus, the slightest amount of rain will wash your grass away because it has not been anchored into your soil. Lastly, phosphorus also encourages energy transfer, aiding strong growth alongside nitrogen.
- Potassium: Your grass relies on potassium to fight off drought, stress, and disease, keeping your lawn healthy and stress-free. Because of this, a large amount of it is always added in winterizer fertilizer treatments to prepare your grass for the cold weather. Wilted and yellowing blades are signs that your lawn needs more potassium.
Our Customized 7-Step Fertilizer Process
Our crew will apply 7 treatments throughout the year. At each visit, we will focus on exactly what your lawn needs during that specific season. Our fertilizer program also includes weed control applications, a soil test, soil conditioner, grub control, and lime and mineral treatments. Below is an outline of our process:
Treatment 1, early spring: Your grass is just starting to emerge from winter dormancy and will need a little bit of help gaining strength to gear up for the growing season. Our crew will apply a treatment of fertilizer focused on replenishing the nutrients your soil lost throughout the winter months. We will also apply pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control treatments.
Treatment 2, late spring: We will focus on more pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control applications in the late spring months.
Treatment 3, early summer: At Rimble Landscaping, we understand that grubs are a huge issue in our area. That is why we have included a preventative grub treatment in our program. We will spray this treatment to protect your lawn before grubs do the most damage in late summertime. In addition to the preventative grub application, our crew will also apply an organic soil conditioner. This will help loosen your compacted soil, giving nutrients better direct access to the roots of your grass. Lastly, we will use post-emergent weed control to treat pesky weeds.
Treatment 4, mid-summer: Our team will apply more soil conditioner to your lawn to continue breaking up compacted soil. Next, we will run a soil test analysis to get a better idea of where your nutrient levels are at. This helps us treat your lawn with a custom plan. Another round of post-emergent weed control will also be applied.
Treatment 5, early fall: Another fertilizer treatment will be added at this time to encourage deep root development and seed establishment. More post-emergent applications are also added.
Treatment 6, late fall: We prepare your grass for the colder weather with another fertilizer application. Our crew will also use more post-emergent weed control treatments.
Treatment 7, late fall: Our last visit of the year includes a lime and mineral treatment. The levels of minerals will be determined by your previous soil test. We will also wrap up the year with our last post-emergent weed control application.
